At the edge of time

I love the lighting with this photo; the colors are brought out really nicely and the play between the shadows, the green and the gold really heightens the drama of the piece. The model's pose & expression is pitch perfect, seeming to tell a story we can't quite catch.

Whoever did the costuming for this piece deserves commendation as well, this is a really masterfully rendered version of the style. I love the richness and depth that the velour gives to the portrayal, and the clever use of contrasting pattern on the background is an excellent touch.
