Truly magical artwork! One of the things that I amazed more is how La Esmeralda was able to play with make-up and wig to accomplish a different face here. I mean, I couldn't recognize her in the moment and even I had to check on the pic info to read if she was the model or not. She looks different here. And I mean in a good way. La Esmeralda is gorgeous in every way, body, face and soul, don't get me wrong here. In her cosplay model career I think that it's quite impressive that she is able to project a different expression where she isn't easily recognizable and still as gorgeous as ever. Amazing work on the costume since I read that she did it by herself, even more impact since this cosplay is just perfect. Not only the costume but also all the elements in the ambiance. The editing on the colors is just the right one to increase the impact of the portrait but without losing the richness of the original colors. Fantastic artwork!!!
Hmmm, first things first: I really really like the outfit, it's very well-made and gives off a very different feeling as opposed to traditional, Disney-inspired "little mermaids": the fishnet in particular is a nice touch that adds a more "rugged" sensation and a stronger character impression, while instead the shells on the headpiece are a little too big for my tastes... another thing I would have avoided is the red nail polish... to create contrast with al the green I'd rather see more red accessories like that bracelet, instead. The flaming red hair does the rest, after all~ The facial make-up is great in every single little detail, I love it and I also like the angle of the photo, it makes it look like the eye of the observer is a person who was walking by the shore and sees the mermaid... ...the only thing I don't like much in that department is maybe the fact that the tip of the fin is cut off... a little bit higher would have been better, for my tastes, but other than that is a great photo.

...p.s.: I wish I was that pretty
